Oral Interview
Each applicant must successfully pass an oral interview. The interview will be conducted by a group of panelists, typically three interviewers, who will ask a series of prepared questions.

Interviews are focused on examining a candidate's personality, background, understanding of the job and profession, and reasons for pursuing a career in law enforcement. Questions may also be focused on testing a candidate's problem solving and/or decision making abilities.

Candidates should wear professional business attire and arrive to their scheduled interview at least 15 minutes early.

The oral interview is one of the requirements by California's Commission on Peace Officer and Standards and Training (CA POST)
